New Service Functions for Ford Vehicles: DPF Regeneration & AdBlue Reset

More service functions for Ford vehicles are coming to the basic AVDI software:

• DPF Regeneration

• AdBlue Inducement Reset

They will be available with the next software update to all AVDI users with an active Annual Subscription.

Why are they useful?

DPF Regeneration
The DPF collects soot and requires periodic regeneration. This is especially relevant for commercial vehicles such as the Ford Transit, where frequent short trips, low-speed driving and idling can prevent effective automatic regeneration. AVDI allows workshops to initiate DPF regeneration on supported vehicles.

AdBlue Inducement Reset
SCR/AdBlue system faults can trigger an inducement state and, in some cases, a countdown to a no-start condition. Once the underlying fault has been diagnosed and resolved, AVDI can reset the AdBlue inducement state on supported vehicles.
