ABRITES DIAGNOSTICS FOR JAGUAR/LAND ROVER
INTRODUCING
The ABRITES Diagnostics for Jaguar and Land Rover provides users the ability to perform dealer-level diagnostic functions, such as module identification, both basic and detailed, reading and clearing of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). As an advanced capability, we also offer the ultimate key programming solution with ABRITES' very own keys TA54, TA56, TA66 and TA67 covering all vehicles from the brand manufactured after 2010.
STANDARD DIAGNOSTICS
The standard diagnostic capabilities include module scanning, which allows reading of identification data for all electronic units and ECUs, their VINs and live data monitoring. The standard diagnostics also allows reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes for all modules, which is an absolute must in car service procedures. Service functions are also available, enabling users to register service and maintenance modifications onto the vehicle’s ECU.
BASIC AVDI PACKAGE
Within the basic AVDI package all users can now access the following for vehicles up to 2018:
• Spare key programming
• ALL KEYS LOST
• Mileage recalibration
For these procedures proprietary Abrites keys are required, they can be seen further on this page.
KEY PROGRAMMING
Key programming for JLR vehicles can be done by diagnostics (OBDII) or by dump of the KVM module (involves reading the EEPROM of the module, modifying it and then writing it back to the module).
The ABRITES Diagnostics for JLR allows customers to program keys to ALL Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles from 2010 to 2022 (MY 2021 Land Rover Defender - spare key programming).
For vehicles produced from 2010 to 2018 (KVM types DPLA, FK72 and HPLA), key programming is done completely by OBDII and the TA54 (433 MHz)/ TA56 (315 MHz) keys are required to complete the programming process. Both All Keys Lost situations and spare key programming are possible and part of the basic AVDI package!
For vehicles produced after 2018 (RFA types K8D2, JPLA and J9C3) the key programming procedure is also done completely by OBDII and TA66(433 MHz)/TA67 (315 MHz) keys are required to complete the procedure. Both All Keys Lost situations and spare key programming are possible with JL005 and JL006 special functions.
For vehicles with KVM types FK72, we also offer a dump tool that will make the necessary modifications to the EEPROM of the KVM module to unlock it to allow key programming. Using this method you can also use OEM JLR keys. The Dump Tool is also part of the basic AVDI package!

2017 Range Rover Evoque ECU Adaptation using Module Initilisation
The procedure is simple: disconnect the old ECU and connect the replacement ECU. After that, it's no more than two minutes in the Abrites Diagnostics for Jaguar/Land Rover software. Under the Key Programming menu is the Module Initilisation functionality to be found. Once you executed, the Initialisation will adapt the new donor ECU and the car is ready. The car must have a minimum set of two programmed keys as a prerequisite so that the Initialisation can begin.
