New: Easy HCU1 Module Replacement for Peugeot 508 Hybrid4 Vehicles Now Added in the PN021 License!
We are happy to introduce the latest functionality for PSA vehicles by Abrites:
HCU1 module replacement in Peugeot 508 Hybrid4 models by OBD
Now included in the Instrument Cluster Data Manager (IC, BSI, BCCM, VSM) license PN021
This is an easier and significantly cheaper way to replace the HCU1 module!
There are two ways to execute the procedure:
1. If you have diagnostics with the old module:
- Read the ConfData from the old module from the Programming menu. Save it to a file.
- Install the replacement module in the vehicle.
- Write the ConfData to the new module.
2. If the old module is totally defective:
- Install the replacement module inside the vehicle.
- Run full module scan.
- Look for DTCs in the HCU1 module, and especially the P0513 error. This indicates a mismatch in the PIN of the replacement module and the PIN of the car. You need to get the PIN from the BSI of the car and write it to the HCU1 module.
- Obtain the PIN from the BSI via the “Key Learning” menu or from the Engine Control Unit.
- Enter in the HCU1 module and press the “Read PIN” button. When you read it, you will see it’s different from the one in the BSI/ECU.
- Put the original PIN from the BSI/ECU and press the “Write” button.
The job is done in 9 minutes! Make sure you get stable power supply to the car so that the procedure is not interrupted.
