IC172 and IC204 FBS4 Mercedes-Benz Dashboards Added for Support in the MN030 License!

With the latest update of the FBS4 Instrument Cluster Calibration license, we have added support for the following dashboards:

• IC172

• IC204

We have designed and implemented a simple procedure for calibration, done by OBD. The MN030 license is the perfect solution for all workshops looking to service predominantly Mercedes-Benz cars or expand their work with dashboard calibration and adaptation for these vehicles!

IC172 dashboards can be found in models, such as these:

• A-Class (W176)
• B-Class (W246)
• CLA (W117)
• GLA (W156)
• G-Class (W463, model years 2013-2017)
• ML/GLE (W166/W292)
• GL/GLS (X166)
• SLK/SLC (W172)
• SL (R231, facelift models)

IC204 dashboards are used in the following models:

• W204 (Sedan)
• S204 (Station wagon/Estate)
• C204 (Coupé)
• E-Class (W212/W207 pre-facelift models)
• GLK (X204)
• W218 (Sedan)

The models equipped with an IC172 dashboard, manufactured after 2014, use an EEPROM, which is locked for writing. The MN030 allows you to set it to virgin state, adapt it or correct odometer values.
When you select “Dash ConfData” special functions in the online Abrites software for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the EEPROM reading will start automatically. After the reading is finished successfully the software will inform you whether the connected IC172 is locked for writing. In case it is, an informational pop-up will appear and it will prompt you to save a modified dump file. You can write the saved dump file directly to the EEPROM of the dash, using the ABPROG programmer. This dump will unlock the connected IC172 for writing by diagnostics.
