EAExpo 2026: Five Days of Automotive Innovation, Expert Training and Industry Connections in Italy

EAExpo 2026 brought together hundreds of automotive professionals, 19 exhibiting companies and the latest innovations in vehicle diagnostics, key programming and module adaptation for five exciting days in Chioggia, Italy!
From 7 to 11 October 2026, the Abrites Italy headquarters hosted the European Automotive Expo (EAExpo), bringing together automotive locksmiths, diagnostic specialists, workshop owners, technicians, developers and industry experts.
The event combined three days of specialised ABRITES training sessions (7–9 October) with a two-day automotive exhibition (10–11 October), offering participants the opportunity to discover new technologies, experience live demonstrations and exchange knowledge directly with leading automotive professionals.
With several hundred visitors and 19 exhibitors, EAExpo 2026 once again demonstrated the importance of practical training, innovation and collaboration in the automotive aftermarket.

Three Days of Expert-Level ABRITES Training: 7–9 October

The event began with three days of specialised technical training led by ABRITES experts. Participants had the opportunity to explore the latest diagnostic technologies and learn advanced procedures for some of the most challenging tasks in modern automotive repair.
The sessions focused on real workshop applications, live vehicle demonstrations and practical solutions for key programming, immobilizer systems, ECU and TCU replacement, module adaptation and advanced diagnostics.

7 October – Key Programming Masterclass

The first day was dedicated to modern immobilizer systems, key programming and All Keys Lost (AKL) solutions for a wide range of vehicle brands.
Participants explored some of the latest ABRITES key learning procedures, including:
•    Mercedes-Benz: FBS3 key programming, password extraction and advanced immobilizer operations.
•    BMW: Key programming for CAS, FEM/BDC, BDC2 and BDC3 systems, including spare key and All Keys Lost procedures.
•    VAG: IMMO 5C and 5D key learning, MQB All Keys Lost solutions, NCF key programming and MLB EVO procedures.
•    Toyota and Lexus: Smart key programming, immobilizer reset and All Keys Lost solutions.
•    Subaru: Mechanical key programming via OBD for models MY 2020–2026, including All Keys Lost situations.
•    Renault and Dacia: Key card programming, spare key learning and All Keys Lost solutions for supported models.
•    FCA: BCM-related procedures and key programming for supported FIAT, Alfa Romeo and other FCA vehicles.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the latest Subaru mechanical key programming solution, which enables technicians to perform key learning directly via OBD, without complicated disassembly procedures.
The training also introduced new developments in VAG immobilizer systems and demonstrated how ABRITES solutions help automotive locksmiths handle increasingly complex security architectures.

8 October – Module Adaptation and Programming Masterclass

The second day focused on advanced electronic module replacement, adaptation, coding and programming.
Modern vehicles increasingly rely on sophisticated security systems, making the replacement of ECUs, TCUs and other electronic modules more challenging.
During the masterclass, ABRITES specialists demonstrated practical solutions designed to simplify these operations and help workshops expand their capabilities.
Mercedes-Benz FBS4 Module Adaptation
One of the central topics was the latest ABRITES functionality for Mercedes-Benz FBS4 vehicles.
The training covered:
•    FBS3 and FBS4 module replacement and adaptation
•    Mercedes-Benz 7G-Tronic, 9G-Tronic and FDCT transmission control units
•    FBS4 module replacement with and without original module data
•    SCN coding for newer Mercedes-Benz generations
•    ECU, TCU and other electronic module programming
•    Advanced configuration and adaptation procedures
These sessions gave participants valuable insight into some of the most complex Mercedes-Benz electronic systems and the solutions available for professional workshops.

BMW, VAG, Toyota, Renault and FCA Module Adaptation

The masterclass also covered advanced procedures for other major vehicle manufacturers.
For BMW, the focus included FEM/BDC/BDC2 replacement, ZF 8HP transmission control units and secure coding.
VAG sessions explored MQB module adaptation, IMMO 5 systems, ECU and DSG transmission replacement, and instrument cluster calibration.
Toyota and Lexus demonstrations included ID Code Box reset, immobilizer and Smart System replacement, and hybrid control unit adaptation.
Renault and Dacia sessions presented electronic module recovery, navigation adaptation and solutions for various control unit replacement procedures.
The day also offered opportunities for participants to discuss real workshop challenges directly with ABRITES specialists.

9 October – AVDI Base Training

The third training day was dedicated to the ABRITES Vehicle Diagnostics Interface (AVDI) and the extensive functionality available through its base software.
The AVDI Base Training was designed for both new and experienced users looking to make the most of their diagnostic equipment.
Participants explored essential diagnostic operations, vehicle coverage, supported functions, hardware configurations and practical workflows.
The sessions demonstrated how technicians can use AVDI more efficiently in everyday workshop operations, from basic vehicle diagnostics to specialised service and programming functions.
The three training days provided an opportunity to learn directly from ABRITES experts, ask technical questions and gain practical knowledge applicable to real vehicles and workshop situations.
