Choosing your new tool
In the past couple of weeks, I spent some time talking to you guys on the phone and trying to gather as much direct feedback as possible. Talking through forums and Facebook groups just isn’t the same as talking directly to you guys.
We just completed the most popular training on the base AVDI we have ever had. (By the way, we had 72 visitors and also took a 45-minute Q&A session where everyone was really friendly and we only put one person to sleep, which is a success).
I think our training on the base AVDI base package created a monster where we try to educate as many people as possible.
This training is once a month and everyone is invited. The next session is on February 20th. If you want to join AVDI base training:
We plan to do these trainings every month and they get booked quite quickly so make sure to get into them. We have a schedule uploaded and if they are fully booked – make sure you sign up for the next available one. That being said we did open a can of worms with these trainings, and we get more and more people interested in AVDI signing up for them.
For this reason, we decided it would be great to arrange training for those looking for AVDI who still don’t have one. Here is what we want to achieve:
- We want to tell you about AVDI – how it works.
- Give you all the details about the financial part of the tool
- Provide a complete understanding of our support ecosystem, how we have you covered.
- Allow you to fully understand the good sides and the negatives of the tool
- Give you the opportunity to make an informed decision when choosing a new tool.
The last part is super important to me.
Like I mentioned – I spoke to quite a few people this week and the majority of the feedback and comparison with other tools proved to me that AVDI is not a tool for everyone. I want you guys to know before buying it – ask your own questions.
For example:
If all you need the tool to do is clear crash data and you want to be able to cover some very specific models – we may not have this specific airbag module added yet – in this case we are not the perfect tool for you.
We do, however, have many benefits when it comes to Airbag.
For example the base package alone comes with clearing crash data for Tesla which you cannot get for less than 3000 Euro anywhere else. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I want to, together with my colleague – Ivo, try and clarify all your questions and doubts.
Another very important factor to consider is the annual fee. We pride ourselves on having one of the lowest fees out of all diagnostic tools – at 300 EURO a year we are able to provide full online access to our databases and servers. We send regular updates and on top of that we add the older functionality to the new software on a regular basis, so people with active AMS receive new functionality all the time. We constantly update existing functionality and improve upon it.
- We have real support - human beings who are not outsourced
they are Abrites employees, working in the same building as the rest of us, they have constant access to the development team and if they cannot resolve your case immediately – they will certainly ask.
- We do our own development
You have all heard stories about our competitors - December some company lost their access to GM, this month they lost access to Renault. This cannot happen here because we do not use the OEM tool though our interface, we do our own development – our developers have centuries of experience between them – The 5 top developers have at least 20 years of experience each so you can do the math.
- We are easy to find
Our support team is on WhatsApp, email, self-service ticket – you choose how to contact us.
- We provide additional tools
From the Abrites toolbox – a completely 100% free tool to allow you to do many cool things like unlocking MB security access if you are using one of the OEM coding tools as well as many others. We have free for all user manuals with step- by- step guides, we have video tutorials (at the moment we have made a rule with the AVDI FAN YouTube channel where there is no new function without a video tutorial on it). I think that in 2025 we are used to learning through video tutorials and not having videos on your procedures is a crime against customers. We make the videos sometimes even before the function comes out – if we have the software, we send it to the AVDI FAN team and hey presto – two days later a video is up. AVDI FAN is on the road of achieving 20,000 subscribers with millions of individual watchers from all over the world. This is pretty much the exact number of customers we have, and I can imagine these numbers can only grow if we do our job well.
- Last but not least – me and my blog
I can say that I use this platform to sometimes rant but often times I use it to describe complex procedures – we have you covered as much as our teams can to offer you as many safety nets as possible.
Here is what I would consider if I were looking for a new tool for locksmithing, diagnostic
or otherwise automotive business which requires a diagnostic interface:
Does the tool do what it says it does?
How much is it compared to its competitors?
Do they have support?
Do they have regular updates, and can I learn to use what they offer easily?
If you have the answers to these questions – you can make the informed decision on which tool to spend your money on.
To learn more about AVDI – join us in March when we will have the opportunity to conduct a course for you and answer all 5 questions and any other questions you may have.
One last thing about competition. I believe there are very good tools for certain operations – there are good diagnostic tools for standard diagnostics, there are good locksmith tools, there are good module replacement and calibration tools but tools which combine a very high level on all spheres of automotive diagnostics – there is only one.

Until next week and I hope to see you at the trainings.
Try to have fun at work
