This kit contains the additional hardware you may need when working with Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles. (CB030; CB012; CB026; ZN074; ZN076; CB034; ZN092,ЕМ019).

This powerful set allows you to work with various modules in Mercedes-Benz cars: ECU, TCU, ELV, DSM/ISM for the following procedures:

  • Working with FBS4 modules: Set to virgin state, Adaptation, Programming, Activation
  • Dashboard calibration
  • ELV/ESL repair
  • VGS4-NAG2 transmission control unit replacement


Keep in mind, that you will require the Complete ABRITES Software Pack for Mercedes-Benz Cars to complete all these procedures.

The CB030 cable is intended for direct connection on bench with the engine control units from BOSCH types MD1, MG1 in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and vans.
The cable is useful for diagnostic purposes on bench, and of course for FLASH/DFLASH programming.

The CB034 cable is equipped with connectors for EZS/EIS modules, connector for IC (instrument cluster), connector for GATEWAY (W211) and an OBD connector for CB100/CB106 cable for AVDI and ZN151 Distribution Box Set (or the old version of the DS box ZN051), and a DC connector for 12V power supply adapter.
In case of EZS/ELV password extraction, the EZS/EIS fuse is used, to reset the module via the ZN151 DS Box Set or ZN051 DS Box.

This CB012 cable set for direct CAN-BUS connection is a proprietary hardware, designed, developed and produced by ABRITES. It is a universal solution when direct connection to the CAN-BUS or LIN-BUS network is required. The CB012 needs to be connected between the AVDI and the OBDII cable.

The CB026 ELV Connection cable is developed to establish a connection between AVDI and FBS3/FBS4 Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with an ELV.

The ZN074 set is developed and designed by the Abrites Team to aid you in ECU reading and writing procedures on bench. It is designed to work together with ZN051 Distribution Box and cannot be used individually. The ZN074 works great with the Abrites Engine Control Unit Programming tool and EP00X licenses.

Contents:
•    14V/4A DC Power adapter - used as a charger for ECU, DSBox and AVDI on bench. (EU Plug 110-220V)
•    Connecting cable Power Supply -> DSBox (banana plug)
•    Boot Test Probe - used for easier connection to the ECU’s Boot pin
•    2-footer probe positioner - used for holding the Boot test probe in place, so that your hands are free
•    Micro-Pincer Hook (opening 0.76mm) - used for BGA ball hook up, when the Boot pin of the ECU PCB is not accessible
•    Boot probe connection cable (2mm banana plug, len 0,5m) - used for connecting the Boot test probe or the Micro-pincer hook to the DSBox
•    2mm banana socket - used for soldering to the Boot cable, coming from the DSBox, in order to connect the Boot probe connection cable.

The ZN076 infrared adapter set is designed to be used for reading information from the EZS/EIS of Mercedes-Benz vehicles with IR locks. This information is required when performing key programming and module replacement procedures on these vehicles.
Functionalities:
•    Reading the EZS/EIS of Mercedes-Benz vehicles with Infrared locks
•    IR key emulation
Using this set you can establish a direct connection between the EZS/EIS module and your laptop via an IR key at one end, and a USB plug at the other.

The ZN092 adapter is used together with the ZN085 ABRITES RH850/V850 Programmer for working with automotive modules on bench. It shifts 5-volt logic level of the programmer to 3.3 volts.

Functionality:
•    Shifts the 5 volt logic level of the ZN085 programmer to 3.3 volts.

•    For MCU’s using the 3v3 logic levels
•    Non-brand specific


The EM019 emulator is a mandatory emulator for use with the Cluster Calibration IC223 2020+/IC177 M 2023+ (Visteon R7F701529 BGA) license MN038.

Functionality:

  • Helps block the synchronization between the EZS and IC

In order to connect and work with the IC223/IC177 M cluster successfully, you will need the ZN085 RH850/V850Programmer and the ZN092 adapter.
The EM019 adapter is required to complete the procedure successfully. After the new mileage is written with the help of the RH850 Programmer and CB501 cable, unsolder the CB501 wires and solder the EM019 as shown in the user manual.The emulator is soldered as shown in the RH850/V850 Programmer’s software after the calibration is complete and it is left inside the module.
