It has been a while since my last post. I’ve been busy with trainings. One of the things I have been training our customers for is the Diagnodes.

I. But What is Diagnodes?

Diagnodes is a new online tool developed by Abrites to respond to the needs of our customers for a simple diagnostic solution which does not require expensive initial investments and works by paying only what you need, when you need it. People have been talking about the price of the AVDI and the Abrites Diagnostic Software for a while and we believe that Diagnodes is the perfect solution. It provides remote diagnostics without the need of any expensive hardware, it offers you features never before available to the mass diagnostician with a token-based system which works through your online account. It allows you to work on any platform as it is browser based and opens you to do remote diagnostics for your customers but not just that. Diagnodes has the ability for much more.

II. Who is Diagnodes for?

There are many people who can benefit from Diagnodes. Here is how:

1.      Diagnosticians – imagine having a customer who gets a check engine light in a different country to you, in a remote location. How can you help them? They don’t have a diagnostic tool on hand, all they have is a problem and they are looking for your help. You can offer them to install the Diagnodes companion app on any device, use absolutely any Passthru or enet cable they could possibly find. (You can also prepare them the next time they come in for an oil change). And once they are set you can tell them to connect the OBD of the vehicle and perform remote diagnostic from home or your workshop with the help of Diagnodes. This flexibility is not just a commodity but also an essential for your workshop. You are ready to assist customers remotely which can be a matter of them going home or not. This will build trust in your customers that as an independent workshop you carry a responsible attitude towards your work.
 

1.a.  Standard diagnostics under Diagnodes. Standard diagnostics seems easy but how does it really work? – in the case of Diagnodes it works really simply, wirelessly- it is based on the Abrites Diagnostic software online platform which allows dealer level access. At moment the supported brands are BMW and Mercedes, for example in W223 and W206 we support CAN-FD for those cars which is a rarity these days. You can do Service interval resets for BMW and Mercedes as well as adaptation and mileage calibration for Mercedes.
 

2.      Coding – Diagnostics is fine but what if your customers have coding needs. What if a customer is travelling and all of a sudden the seatbelt scale on their car fails and they have 500 miles of bing-bong to listen to? In that case you can connect to their car and code the chime for the scale out, they can return to your workshop afterwards and get it fixed with you. This is just a very small portion of the coding features. Let me tell you about some of them.
 

2.a.  NBT EVO FSC. The FSC coding in Diagnodes allows you to do the following:
For BMW models after 2017 featuring NBT EVO ID 4, ID 5, and ID 6 systems, Abrites offers a comprehensive diagnostic and programming solution, enabled via our latest Abrites Diagnostics for BMW/Mini/Rolls Royce license, paired with the CB015 Abrites E-NET cable.

2.b. Coding for Mercedes – you can do Correction and Coding for Mercedes, for example AMG menu activation for FBS4 cars such as the W/S/C 205 and W/S/C 213. You can virginize and adapt Mercedes clusters. Don’t forget that you have standard diagnostics for CAN-FD cars like W223 and W/S/C206 of the very latest generation.
 

3.      MRD1/ MRG1 IMMO OFF in VAG vehicles.
An incredible solution to solve problems with remote lost keys – bring your customer safe, be their hero. With this feature you can toggle the immo on and off for VAG cars.
 

4.      Key Inspector – have the power of the Abrites Key inspector in your pocket – read all available information from the key – equipment, mileage, services, all available for you right now. You will require the Abrites ZN002 or ZN003 Protag programmer and you can take advantage of its built-in Bluetooth
 

III. How does it work?

-          Simple, really. You need to go to nodes.abrites.comand login, then you download the companion app for any device and link it to the Diagnodes platform, connect to the car you or your customer is working on, select one of the functions you can perform, and pay the needed amount if it is a paid option.

There it is, Diagnodes was released two weeks ago and already has 500 customers, not just remote users, you can also work with the device in your workshop or at your customer’s address.
